Peanut in Pumpkinville
I don't have a story today. Just exhaustion. The Baby was up to her wicked ways again last night. Awake at 1:30 and 2:30. When her mood is especially cantankerous, as it was today, I find it cathartic to illustrate her during a moment of pure baby sweetness. This weekend she was introduced to her first pumpkin on our annual trip to Pumpkinville in Great Valley, NY. She was a little peanut next to the colossal gourd. She tried with all of her might to push, rock, and roll it out of the way. It did not budge, but neither did her determination. I'm sure her conviction to move obstacles out of her way will serve her well as she gets older. For now, her persistent protest screeches for being left in the other room (for 5 minutes!) in baby jail (her Exersaucer), are moving me to wrap this up quickly.
