an informal study which answers the question: are redheads more sensitive to pain than the rest of us?
For more articles on redheads and pain see here and here. If a paper cut feels more like a partial amputation, perhaps, you too possess the redhead gene. Regardless of the color of your hair, I wish you a pain free Friday and a wonderful weekend!
2 of my 3 redheads are extremely sensitive. The oldest is rather stoic and fights off illness like it is his duty to do so. My 12 year old and two year old like to marvel over every paper cut and hangnail- whimpering for comfort and pain relief. I truly don't know what the answer to the question is.
Thank you so much for always being so encouraging of my work. It means so much as I know what discerning taste you have regarding art and creativity. I just love your lists.
I LOVE this one Amy!! And, if research proves that they have more tolerance, I have a few friends that are redheads and very feisty!! Especially one of my besties, who has been fighting cancer for 5 years. I thank God everyday that she is a red-head at heart, even though she has lost most of her hair. Because she continues to fight like hell to stay around! xo Jen
Wishing your friend continued feistiness. May that red-headed spirit keep powering through and may she find that healing energy which wins that battle once and for all.
Moar kitteh! I like its attitude.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a redhead, but a brown blondie. I fall down a lot.
You are too funny!
DeleteHe he he - there's something in this. I have two boys, one (the redhead) is hardly sick and the other (mousey) almost always.

LOL... I think I've seen a few old homless women using cats as scarves. It's the newest street trend.
ReplyDeleteMitsy would truly make a great scarf because she is a lean cat with just enough weight and fur to keep a neck warm.
